Roadrunners baseball adds Jake Lufft

Baseball Head Coach Jud Kindle has announced that Jake Lufft has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend State Fair Community College. Lufft, a 6' pitcher/third baseman, had an outstanding career at Blue Springs High School where he played for Head Coach Tim McElligott.

Lufft was a two-time all-state selection as well as a two-time all-conference and all-district pick. He was named Examiner Player of the Year twice during high school. He currently holds the all-time records at Blue Springs High School for hits, games played, doubles, RBIs and runs scored. As a senior, he was named Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player.

"Jake is one of the most talented players I've ever recruited," said Kindle. "He will probably be in our starting rotation next season and in the middle of our starting lineup. Jake is a very versatile player who performs well almost anywhere on the field."

Lufft will begin his academic and athletic career at SFCC in August. He is interested in studying criminal justice.
