Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center

The Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center is a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 180-yard indoor walking/jogging track, two full–sized basketball/volleyball courts, a weight and fitness center, a large (44 x 100 ft.) multi-use room, and two seminar rooms. As the home of the SFCC Roadrunners, the site features some of the best college and high school action in the area. The arena area has seating for 1,817 fans.

 

 

Walking Track

The indoor track provides the perfect location for a leisurely walk or jog with a climate-controlled atmosphere that is open to the public.

Liberty Park Stadium - Dey Field

Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field has been the home of the State Fair Community College Roadrunners Baseball Program since it was restarted in 2016. The stadium is located on West Third Street in Sedalia, Missouri. The stadium is also home to local high school and summer baseball teams. It is a ballpark with a historic wooden grandstand constructed in the mid-1930’s. The playing surface is made up of a turf infield and a natural grass outfield. The stadium can seat around 1000 fans. The facility hosted the first SFCC baseball game since the program was restarted on February 20, 2017, a 14-0 victory over Evangel University.

Directions to 1500 W. 3rd Street: From the North: 65 Hwy (Limit Ave) to 3rd Street, turn left. From the South: 65 Hwy (Limit Ave) to 3rd Street, turn right. From the East: 50 Hwy to 65 Hwy, turn right. Turn right on 3rd Street. From the West: 50 Hwy to 65 Hwy, turn left. Turn right on 3rd Street.


Centennial Park - Mandy Thomas Field

Mandy Thomas Field in Centennial Park has been home to the Lady Roadrunner’s softball program since its inception in 2016. Centennial Park is located at 16th Street and New York in Sedalia, Missouri. Mandy Thomas Field is one of the eight ball fields that make up the sports complex. In 1996 Mandy Thomas Field was named in honor of Mandy Thomas a local softball player. The field hosted the first Lady Roadrunner’s softball games on February 24, 2017, a doubleheader sweep of Cottey College 7-5 and 11-4.

Directions to the field: From the North or South: From the North: 65 Hwy (Limit Avenue) to 16th Street, turn left. Continue on 16th Street approx. 2.3 miles. From the South: 65 Hwy (Limit Avenue) to 16th Street, turn right. Continue on 16th Street approx. 2.3 miles. Centennial Pool will be on your right.  At 16th Street and New York Avenue turn right.  At New York Avenue and 24th Street turn right and Mandy Thomas Field will be on your right. From the East or West: From the East: 50 Hwy (Broadway) to New York Avenue, turn left. From the West: 50 Hwy (Broadway) to New York Avenue, turn right. Continue on New York Avenue at 24th Street turn right and Mandy Thomas Field will be on your right.  


 

Fred E. Davis Sports Complex

The Fred E. Davis Sports Complex is located just west of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the State Fair Community College campus in Sedalia, Missouri. The soccer Complex consists of a grass game field along with an adjoining practice field. The facility has bleacher seating for viewing games. The Roadrunners first regular season match since the restart of the men’s soccer program was a loss on Sept. 15, 2016 against Missouri Valley College Junior Varsity. The Lady Roadrunners first regular season home match in the history of the program was a win on Sept. 8, 2016 against Central Methodist University Junior Varsity.

 


 Tyson Fitness Center

The center, on the lower level of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center, features three inclining treadmills (one of which also declines), two stationary bikes, two Helix machines, and a variety of free weights and LifeFitness Hammer Strength performance strength-training equipment. Use of the center is free to SFCC students, faculty and staff with valid BLUECARD.

Unless you’re enrolled in a class that meets in the fitness center, you’re required to have a brief orientation about the equipment and proper lifting technique before using the center. Stop by the Davis Center office for assistance; the best time is between 2-5 p.m. when no fitness classes are scheduled.

Workout clothes and athletic shoes are required. Open hours vary due to classes, games and events. The fitness center is closed during Roadrunner home basketball games.


Tyson Fitness Center Hours
