Shipp earns All-American honors for Lady Roadrunners

State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners sophomore center Jaida Shipp of Dallas, Texas has been named a 2023-2024 NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Honorable Mention All-American. Shipp is the first Lady Roadrunners' basketball student-athlete to earn All-American honors since Alexis Cowan in 2017.

Shipp was also named to the All-Region 16 First Team and the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team.

Shipp played in 29 games and started in 17 as a sophomore for SFCC. Shipp finished first on the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 10.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Shipp knocked down 57.1% of her field-goal attempts to finish second on the team.

Highlights of Shipp's season included, scoring 21 points against Moberly Area Community College on February 17 and recording 15 rebounds against Crowder College on January 27. Shipp scored n double-figures 18 times during her sophomore campaign and pulled down double-figure rebounds six times.

Shipp helped SFCC to one of the most successful seasons in recent history for the program. The season included 22 wins with a trip to the Region 16 Tournament Championship game.
