On Jan. 25 the Lady Roadrunners defeated the Lady Roughriders 62-52 at Crowder College in Neosho in a Region 16 game. SFCC's record is now 13-6 overall and 3-1 in the region. 

Crowder led 4-0 to begin the game, but SFCC answered with a 20-2 run. The Lady Roughriders trimmed the lead to three points several times but never took the lead. 

"I was very happy," said Head Coach Kevin Bucher. "We had different players step up, and we needed that." 

Freshman guard Maya Brewer scored 14 points. Freshman guard/forward Catie Kaifes added 14 points, hitting four three-point baskets. Freshman guard Ren'Cia Rolling pitched in 13 points. 

The Lady Roadrunners will host the Mineral Area College Lady Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in an important Region 16 and Missouri Community College Athletic Conference game in the Davis Center.
