Hondroudakis scored with 49.1 seconds remaining to secure a victory against the St. Charles Community College Cougars from Cottleville, Missouri on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Fred E. Davis Sports Complex. Salomone provided the assist on the game-winner.

"I haven't been shooting a lot this year and I think that is a good part of my game," said Hondroudakis. "I should probably do it more often. I thought it was there, why not take a chance."

The Cougars took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

SFCC got their offense going with a goal from Salomone, off of a pass from freshman midfielder Alex Mee of England with less than 40 minutes remaining to tie the game and set up the late game heroics.

SFCC (4-3-1, 2-0 in Region 16, 1-0 in the MCCAC) will host Southwestern Illinois College on Saturday, Sept. 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. from the Fred E. Davis Sports Complex.
