Four Lady Roadrunners compete at Indian Hills

Four members of the State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team competed at the Indian Hills Invitational at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa, Iowa on Friday, Oct. 13.

Tanner Maggard recorded the best finish (15th) for the Lady Roadrunners with a time of 20:35.7 on the 5K course. Adamaris Ramirez finished 33rd with a time of 23:33.1. Cheyanne Evans finished 39th with a time of 24:18.9. Emily Ramirez finished 46th with a time of 25:37.7.

"The Lady Roadrunners had great races of their own in the 5,000 meters," said Assistant Coach Cooper Pauley. "Each runner ran an aggressive and gritty individual race. They all came through with very strong finishes. There were multiple personal records broken along with a school record! We're excited to get some of our athletes healthy so that we can compete well as a team at our Region Championships."
