Ligon leads Roadrunners at the Outdoor Mule Relays

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team competed in the Outdoor Mule Relays at the University of Central Missouri at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field in Warrensburg on Friday, April 12.

Freshman Peyton Ligon turned in the best performance of the day for the Roadrunners. Ligon finished fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.96 meters.

"It was a beautiful day for a track meet," said Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "We started the meet off hot with personal records in three of our first four events and just kept rolling after that. I thought the performance of Justin Horn in the 1500 was outstanding. We head to Culver-Stockton College next week. The weather doesn't look as promising, but that really hasn't affected us much this year."
