SFCC continues outdoor season at SBU Bearcat Invitational

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams recorded three personal bests and a season best mark at the Southwest Baptist University Bearcat Invitational at Plaster Stadium in Bolivar April 1-2.

Freshman Landon Mason set a personal best throw of 41.03 meters in the discus. Freshman Wyatt Irwin set a personal best of 6.53 meters in the long jump. Sophomore Zac Anderson recorded a personal best time of 11.06 seconds in the 100m dash.

The Lady Roadrunners 4 x 100m relay team of freshman Paige Spencer, freshman Daylynn Baker, freshman Zyaire Robinson and freshman Ella Golden set a season best time of 51.83 seconds.

"It was another very competitive weekend," said SFCC Track and Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "Our athletes, however, seem to rise to the occasion and do very well. We plan to take the next two weeks to train and prepare for the final push to wrap up the outdoor season. The Outdoor National Championships are around the corner, and we hope to still qualify in several events."
