SFCC earns three top 10 finishes at Bearcat Invite

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams traveled to the Bearcat Invite held inside Hughes Fieldhouse on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville on Friday and Saturday, February 4 and 5.

The Roadrunners were led by freshman Jalen McGee who finished in sixth place in the triple jump with a distance of 14.04 meters. McGee finished seventh in the long jump with a jump of 6.95 meters. Freshman Wyatt Irwin finished in sixth place in the high jump with a jump of 2.0 meters.

"This was by far the biggest and most competitive meet we have attended," said SFCC Track and Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "Wyatt and Jalen continue to show that they can compete anywhere. Ryan Smith set an 8 second personal best in the Mile. Brandon Allen had a great showing in his first attempt at the 600m. Our women's team continues to be very consistent. Daylynn Baker had an excellent performance in her first ever 800m."
