The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners defeated the Missouri Baptist University Spartans Junior Varsity 66-47 on Saturday, Feb. 13 in St. Louis. The game featured three lead changes and three ties. SFCC led 36-25 at halftime.

"We were able to play a lot of guys who haven't gotten significant minutes so far this season," said Roadrunners Head Coach Matt Brown. "It was really good for them. Everyone has to be ready; you don't know when your number will be called."

Freshmen guards Tavari Eckwood of Springdale, Arkansas and Malek Mims of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania tied for the team lead in scoring with 12 points each. Freshman guard Caleb Mims of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and freshman guard/forward Jadon Gilpin of Springfield, Missouri pitched had 10 points each. Freshman forward Uros Gatic of Serbia pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds. Gilpin dished out a team-high three assists in the contest.
