Greyhounds defeat Roadrunners

The Roadrunners traveled to Moberly on Saturday night, Feb. 13, to take on the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds. SFCC (16-9, 3-4 in Region 16, 5-4 in the MCCAC) fell by a score of 92-71 in a game that featured only two lead changes and one tie.

The Greyhounds led 40-28 at halftime. Moberly extended the advantage to 83-55 in the second half. The 28-point advantage was the largest lead of the contest.

"We allowed Moberly to do whatever they wanted tonight," said Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Thomas. "We're just not in a good place right now. We have to figure some things out pretty quickly."

Sophomore guard Ronnie Rousseau III led the Roadrunners in scoring with 22 points, including 12 of 13 from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Joshua Bailey contributed 11 points. Freshman guard Craig McKenzie Jr. pulled down a team-high six rebounds and tied for the team lead in blocked shots with sophomore forward Clint Robinson, registering two each. Freshman guard Willie Jimerson Jr. led the team in steals with four.

SFCC will return home on Tuesday night, Feb. 16, to take on the Quakerdale Prep Academy Eagles. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia Campus.
