Greyhounds Defeat Roadrunners

The Roadrunners dropped a 90-46 decision to the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds Jan. 14 in Moberly.

"Moberly came out focused," said Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Thomas. "I knew they would, especially after their loss to Three Rivers at home."

SFCC (4-14, 0-2 in Region 16) found itself trailing 10-0 to begin the game. The Greyhounds led 45-20 at halftime. Freshman guard Joshua Bailey led SFCC in scoring with 24 points and just missed a double double, pulling down a team-high nine rebounds. Freshman wing Ryan Surface dished out a team-high four assists.

"Josh shot six of 10 from beyond the three-point arc and nine of 21 from the field," said Thomas. "He was the only one who really played well offensively last night. He just has to cut his turnovers down."

SFCC will be back on the road Jan. 20 for another big Region 16 contest against the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzlies. Tipoff from West Plains is scheduled for 7 p.m.
