Simone Harlin

Simone Harlin Simone Harlin transferred to SFCC in 1993 from Moberly Area Community College, kicking off what would become a record-breaking basketball season.

She still holds the single-season scoring record for the Lady Roadrunners, according to the team’s historical statistics. In 1993-1994, she scored 599 points in 26 games, averaging 23.5 points per game. She was a first-team All-Region 16 player that season and was the first woman to receive honorable mention as an NJCAA All-American in 1994.

Harlin also grabbed 83 rebounds, averaging 3.19 per game. She dished out a total of 57 assists for an average of 2.19 per game. She had 73 steals for the season, averaging 2.8 per game. The Lady Roadrunners finished the season with a 15-9 record.

Bob Hoskins and Tim West were inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009, its inaugural year. Last year’s inductees were former basketball coach Bill Barton, Sedalia, and basketball players Joe Wright, Carthage, and Aaron Collier, Atlanta.
