Orlando “Chuckie” Johnson was a member of SFCC’s men’s basketball team from 1993-1995. The St. Louis native earned All-Region 16 honors twice during his Roadrunner career; he helped lead his team to a 14-17 record as a freshman and a 16-16 record as a sophomore. Johnson was named a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American player for his performance during his sophomore season. After graduating from SFCC, he transferred to Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I university in the Missouri Valley Conference. During his two seasons with the Creighton Bluejays (1995-1997) Johnson played 59 games, scoring 471 points and pulling down 359 rebounds.
