Lady Roadrunners face more tough competition in Arkansas

Three members of the 20th ranked State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team competed in the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival, Prairie Fire Pepper 5K on Friday, Sept. 29, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Tanner Maggard recorded the best finish (52nd) for SFCC with a time of 21:44.7. Savanna Tracy finished 120th with a time of 24:32.1. Cheyenne Evans finished 156th with a time of 28:12.9.

"We only had three women racing on Friday because of some illness and injuries," said assistant coach Cooper Pauley. "Despite that, and the hot conditions in Fayetteville, each of the ladies had a strong race. We had a season best from Savanna and Tanner and Cheyenne finished just shy of theirs. We are looking forward to getting the team fully healthy for our meet in two weeks."
