Lady Roadrunners continue season with another tough test

Ranked 21 (tied) in the country, the State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team placed eighth as a team in the College Race at the Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern State University in Joplin on Friday, Sept. 15.

Tanner Maggard recorded the best finish for the Lady Roadrunners placing 26th overall. Maggard covered the 5K course in 21:16.12. Shelby West finished 35th with a time of 21:49.10. Adalyn Davis finished 57th with a time of 23:05.87. Savanna Tracy finished 76th with a time of 24:42.66. Cheyenne Evans finished 95th in a time of 28:05.04.

The coaching staff was happy with the performance from the Lady Roadrunners. The women's team ran an aggressive and smart race. They got through the first mile like they were supposed to. There were two 5K records and multiple season bests. It was exciting to see a lot of improvement so early in the season.
