Lady Roadrunners compete at Prairie Fire Pepper 5K in Arkansas

The No. 16 ranked State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners finished 33rd as a team at the Women's Prairie Fire Pepper 5k on Friday, Sept. 30 at Agri Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Freshman Tanner Maggard recorded the best finish for SFCC with a time of 21:59.2 to finish 162nd. Freshman Kara Van Vleck finished 181st with a time of 22:18.3. Sophomore Korry Davis finished 189th with a time of 22:32.0. Freshman Breanna James finished 216th with a time of 23:16.8. Freshman Madelyn McBride finished 265th with a time of 26:38.6.

"We are seeing steady progress on our times," said Lady Roadrunners Cross Country Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "The experience gained over the last three races is really showing. We travel to Indian Hills in two weeks to exclusively race other junior colleges, so I'm excited to see how we do against teams our size."
