Lady Roadrunners close out indoor regular season

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners Track and Field team traveled to Manhattan, Kansas to compete in the Steve Miller Invitational at Kansas State University inside Ahearn Field House on Friday, Feb. 17.

Freshman Keiyah Cole recorded the best finish for the Lady Roadrunners with a second place finish in the 200m with a time of 26.73. Cole also finished fifth in the 60m with a time of 8.06. Freshman Tanner Maggard finished sixth in the 800m run with a time of 2:35.39. Freshman Rebecca Hall finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 4.34 meters.

"This meet was a great end to a successful indoor regular season," said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "Keiyah Cole anchored our women's efforts with two top-five finishes and a PR (personal record) in the 60m. All of our kids have worked very hard in practice and it's encouraging to see their efforts rewarded."

The Lady Roadrunners head to the NJCAA Indoor National Championships at Washburn University in two weeks.
