Indian Hills defeats Lady Roadrunners

The Lady Roadrunners hosted the Indian Hills Community College Lady Warriors on Sunday, Oct. 9. SFCC (1-6-2) fell by a score of 7-1.

Indian Hills led 4-0 at halftime. The Lady Roadrunners got on the scoreboard when freshman defender Sarah Garcia found the back of the net. Indian Hills added three more goals.

"The score got away from us in second half," said Lady Roadrunners Soccer Head Coach Eddie Horn. "One of the bright spots of the game was that we had been giving goals up early, and we were able to keep them off the scoreboard early in the first half, which was a little bit of an improvement. I think we are getting better every time we play; this is just part of the process of building a program. We have to be patient."

SFCC will be back at home on Tuesday, Oct. 11, when the Lady Roadrunners take on Metropolitan Community College-Blue River in a Region 16 match. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Sports Complex west of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
