Lady Roadrunners lose at Three Rivers

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners (19-4, 4-3 in Region 16) lost a Region 16 and Missouri Community College Athletic Conference game, 100-63 to the 14th-ranked Three Rivers Community College Lady Raiders on Saturday night, Feb. 10 in Poplar Bluff. The Lady Roadrunners are currently receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Rankings.

Three Rivers used hot shooting and a full-court trapping defense to lead 7-0 with eight minutes and 41 seconds remaining in the first quarter. The Lady Raiders led 33-13 at the end of the first quarter. Three Rivers pushed the advantage to 58-24 at halftime.

Freshman guard Kimora McClure knocked down a deep three-point shot as time expired in the third quarter to cut the advantage to 76-43 at the end of three quarters. Three Rivers made the plays in the final quarter to finish the victory.

Freshman guards Madison Johnson and McClure tied for the team lead in scoring with 12 points each. Freshman guard Myra Claas contributed 11. Sophomore guard Tanila Marshall and sophomore forward Quincenia Jackson tied for the team lead with rebounds five each. Johnson and Marshall tied for the team lead with two assists.
