"I thought we were sloppy at times but, overall, I'm happy with the way we defended," said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Nicole Collier. "I think we did a solid job with the communication piece of it. We have some areas we need to clean up. Today was great, because we were able to get a lot of people in the game and get some experience. We loved having all the elementary kids here. Our goal in the future will be to continue to get more kids in here. They were very excitable, and we loved having them here on campus and at the game."

Nov. 25 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College at Sedalia

SFCC (9-0) closed the SFCC Classic with an exciting 76-68 victory over Northeastern Oklahoma (NEO) A&M College inside the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 25.

The Lady Roadrunners trailed NEO 21-15 at the end of first quarter. NEO extended their advantage to 38-27 at halftime.

"At halftime, we talked about who wanted it more," said Collier. "The things that we weren't doing well were all in our control. NEO could do whatever they wanted in the first half. We talked a lot about taking care of the small things. In the second half, we wanted to do a better job of taking care of the details. We changed a couple of things defensively. I thought our girls did a great job of implementing all the things we talked about at halftime."

SFCC outscored NEO 26-9 in the third quarter to take a 53-47 lead at the end of the quarter.

SFCC outscored NEO 23-21 in the final quarter to preserve the victory. As a team, SFCC made 24 of their 30 free-throw attempts in the contest.

"Myra Claas hit a lot of big shots for us," said Collier. "We were getting the ball inside a lot, so they started to take that away and we were able to find Myra and she was able to knock down shots for us. That is what Myra is built for. Nakayla Green was the player of the game for me. She controlled every aspect of the game offensively and defensively. She handled the full court pressure the entire time. I was very proud of our fight. This shows a lot about our character to be able to dig ourselves out."

Jackson registered a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the team in both categories. Jackson also tied for the team lead in steals with Marshall with three each. Claas contributed 17 points and led the team in assists with five. Green and Shipp added 10 points each.
