Lady Roadrunners basketball team splits two games before break

Dec. 11 - North Central Missouri College at Trenton

The Lady Roadrunners lost a 90-75 game to North Central Missouri College in Trenton.

The Lady Roadrunners led 22-19 at the end of the first quarter and led 46-40 at halftime. North Central erased that halftime advantage and took a 57-56 lead to begin the fourth quarter and outscored the Lady Roadrunners 33-19 for the win.

"We settled for some three-point shots in the second half," said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Nicole Collier. "I felt we should have probably kept attacking them a little bit. The three-point shots were there, but they just weren't going down. North Central got some momentum in the fourth quarter. We let them get up 10 points a couple of times, and we fought back. Unfortunately, we were not able to use our size and make them match up with us."

Sophomore forward Autumn Wallace recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the team. Sophomore guard Biance Stocks contributed 15 points and dished out a team-high six assists. Freshman guard Perryauna Youmans added 13 points. Freshman forward Jaida Shipp led the team in steals with four.
