Lady Roadrunners finish regular season

February 16 Crowder College at Neosho, Missouri

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners lost a hard-fought 67-61 Region 16 contest to Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri on Wednesday night, February 16.

Crowder led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and pushed the advantage to 12 points at the end of three quarters. The Lady Roadrunners outscored Crowder 21-15 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

Freshman forward Autumn Wallace led the Lady Roadrunners with 12 points. Sophomore post Jakyah Amous put together a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, a team-high. Sophomore guard Grace Goodwin added 10 points. Freshman guard Olivia Dooley and freshman guard Paige Spencer led the team with three steals each. Freshman guard Kayla Dooley dished out a team-high two assists.

February 19 Moberly Area Community College at Sedalia

SFCC (9-15. 5-10 in Region 16) lost an 86-49 Region 16 and Missouri Community College Athletic Conference game to the 13th-ranked Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds inside the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on Saturday night, February 19.

Moberly led 30-4 at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Greyhounds used their pressure defense to force 25 turnovers.

Amous led SFCC with 12 points. Freshman guard Kendra Johnson added 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Goodwin and freshman guard Kayla Dooley tied for the team lead in assists with four. Olivia Dooley registered a team-high two steals.

"I think that we played tight and were nervous," said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Nicole Collier. "I told them before the game. You have nothing to lose and no reason to be nervous, scared, or intimidated. If you turn the ball over 17 times in the half you're not going to be in the game. We don't have a lot of depth.
