Roadrunners finish first in multiple events at William Woods Shootout

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) shooting sports team performed well at the William Woods University Spring Shootout on February 10-11 in Jefferson City. The event consisted of the traditional disciplines of America Trap, American Skeet and Sporting Clays.

Nash McKenzie took first place in Sporting Clays. Ben Engemann took first place in American Skeet. SFCC took first place as a team in American Skeet and Sporting Clays. SFCC also placed second High Overall as a team to Missouri Valley by only eight birds.

"I was pleased with the way our team came back from break to start the semester," said Head Coach Sarah Manuel. "We were able to take first place in a lot of events. Our team is also mentally preparing for Nationals coming up in mid-March."

The next competition for SFCC is the Lindenwood Spring Open on February 24-25.
