Lady Roadrunners Softball opens Region 16 play

March 7 - Crowder College at Neosho

The Lady Roadrunners (1-7, 0-2 in Region 16) dropped a pair of games to Crowder College 8-0 and 11-0, both in five innings because of the run rule.

In game one, the SFCC offense was held to just two hits, one each from freshman outfielder Jaelyn Winfrey and sophomore second baseman Kelsey Webb.

SFCC struggled defensively in the game.

Sophomore pitcher Kennidi Harris went the distance in the circle for SFCC. Harris allowed eight runs (three earned) on seven hits and struck out one.

In game two, the SFCC offense was hitless. Freshman shortstop Samantha Picha and freshman catcher Paige Klinge each drew a walk.

In game two, freshman pitcher Charlee Reese got the start in the circle for SFCC. Reese pitched 2 2/3 innings, gave up seven runs on four hits and struck out two. Sophomore pitcher Tabitha Imhoff pitched the final 1 1/3 innings, gave up four runs on six hits and struck out one.
