Roadrunners compete at Missouri Southern Stampede

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners cross country team finished 13th as a team in the college and junior college race at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin at the Missouri Southern Cross Country Course on Saturday, September 17.

Sophomore Ty Lewis ran the best time for the Roadrunners. Lewis covered the 8K course in a time of 28:41.09 to finish 68th. Sophomore Logan Shaw finished 71st with a time of 28:44.84. Sophomore Nathan Gemechu finished 83rd with a time of 29:11.28. Sophomore Ryan Smith finished 98th with a time of 29:38.28. Freshman Ezeckual Freed finished 121st with a time of 30:52.52. Freshman Roman Ray finished 139th with a time of 31:59.77.

"I could not be more pleased," said Roadrunners Cross Country Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "Our team dropped our average time over 20 seconds from a year ago."
