Roadrunners claim four top four finishes at Principia Relays

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field team continued their indoor campaign at the Principia Relays on Friday and Saturday, January 26-27 inside the Crafton Athletic Center in Elsah, Illinois.

Freshman David Leon led the charge for the Roadrunners claiming the individual championship in the 500m with a time of 1:07.81.

Freshman Caden Morris finished third in the triple jump with a jump of 12.48 meters.

Freshman Joseph Bland finished third in the shot put with a throw of 14.43 meters.

The 4 x 200m relay team finished fourth with a time of 1:39.03.

"We got back on track this weekend," said Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "There were many personal bests for both the men and women. David Leon and Joe Bland were excellent today. David's win in the 500m was somewhat of a surprise, but certainly not a shocker. He has looked good this spring. We will take a couple of weeks off to recover and train before our meet at Washburn on February 10."
