SFCC competes at Indoor National Championships

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams had a pair of student-athletes compete at the 2023 NJCAA Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships in Topeka, Kansas on March 3-4 on the Washburn University campus.

Sophomore Landon Mason finished 11th in the men's shot put with a throw of 14.09 meters. Freshman Keiyah Cole finished 29th in the women's 60m with a time of 8.17 and 24th in the 200m with a time of 26.81.

"Our athletes competed and represented our school in a wonderful manner," said SFCC Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "They performed near their personal bests. That is really the best we could have expected at our Indoor National Championships. We look forward to continuing to improve as our outdoor season get started."
