Roadrunners golf regular season wraps up at MBU Invitational

SFCC's golf team finished 11th as a team at the Missouri Baptist University Invitational at the par 72 Spencer T. Olin Golf Course in Alton, Illinois, on Monday and Tuesday, April 17-18. The Roadrunners opened the event with a 325 in round one and a 326 in round two for a total of 75 over par 651 at the event.

Sophomore Kaden Killingsworth led the team with scores of 80 and 77 for a total of 13 over par 157 to finish tied for 19th.

Freshman Jackson Kempton shot scores of 78 and 86 for a total of 20 over par 164 to finish in a tie for 41st.

Freshman Korbin Kisner shot scores of 79 and 90 for a total of 25 over par 169 to finish in a tie for 56th.

Sophomore Matthew Potter shot scores of 88 and 81 for a total of 25 over par 169 to finish in a tie for 56th.

Freshman Keaton Mateja shot scores of 95 and 82 for a total of 33 over par 177 to finish tied for 69th.

"We are just preparing for our postseason event next week," said Roadrunners Head Coach Wayne Ogle. "It was good to see us play very close to Mineral Area's team score. I believe they will be our toughest competition."
