Kisner leads Roadrunners at Wildcat Classic

Freshman Korbin Kisner finished in ninth place individually at the par 72 Culver-Stockton College Wildcat Classic hosted by Culver-Stockton College at the Spring Lake Country Club on Sunday and Monday, April 2-3 in Quincy, Illinois.

Kisner shot rounds of 83 and 78 for a total of 17 over par 161 to pace SFCC.

Sophomore Kaden Killingsworth shot rounds of 85 and 79 for a total of 20 over par 164 to finish 16th individually. Freshman Keaton Mateja finished tied for 21st with rounds of 95 and 76 for a total of 27 over par 171. Sophomore Matthew Potter finished tied for 23rd with scores of 89 and 85 for a total of 30 over par 174. Sophomore Aaron Kennon finished 29th with scores of 103 and 107 for a total of 66 over par 210.

As a team, SFCC finished fifth with a 94 over par 670. The Roadrunners shot a 352 in round one and 318 in round two.

"Our team scores were disappointing on day one," said Roadrunners golf Head Coach Wayne Ogle. "No one played well, day two was much better. This team is capable of consistently shooting under 320. We have two weeks off to recharge and get ready for the end of the season."
