"I thought we played pretty well in the first round considering our scoring average, temperatures and the wind on Monday," said Roadrunners Head Coach Wayne Ogle.

Coach Ogle saw other positives to hosting an event at the Sedalia Country Club.

"Hosting an event will bring more publicity to our program," said Ogle. "I think it also shows the demand for tournaments right now. There are so many colleges and universities in the area looking for places to play without traveling six or eight hours. We have a fantastic golf course here at the Sedalia Country Club that they enjoy playing. It is convenient for schools in the state of Missouri, especially our Region 16 schools. It is also a good opportunity for our players to compete with players from four-year universities and test their game."
