The State Fair Community College (SFCC) golf team hosted the SFCC Spring Invitational at the 18-hole par 70 Sedalia Country Club on Thursday, April 21. It was the first home event hosted by SFCC since the program began. The event consisted of all the other Division II golf programs in Region 16.

SFCC shot 354 as a team. Sophomore Kaden Killingsworth shot 83 to lead SFCC. Freshmen Matthew Potter and Payton Presnall shot 90. Sophomore Preston Patterson scored 91. Sophomore Fischer Tharp shot 99. Sophomore Brett Hockett shot a 97.

"Today was a great day on the golf course," said SFCC Head Golf Coach Wayne Ogle. "We had perfect playing conditions. Sedalia Country Club Superintendent Dallas Baldwin did a fantastic job of having the course ready. Our team learned a lot about managing expectations. We are looking forward to our post season."
