Roadrunners play in Mineral Area Spring Invitational

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) golf team finished eighth as a team with a score of 219 over par at the Mineral Area College Spring Invitational played at the par 72 Crown Pointe Golf Club and Resort in Farmington, Missouri April 18-19. The 54-hole event consisted of 36 holes on Monday with the final round being played on Tuesday.

Sophomore Preston Patterson led SFCC with scores of 85 in round one, 88 in round two, and a team best 78 in round three to finish 28th (tied) with a total of 35 over par 251. Sophomore Kaden Killingsworth finished 36th (tied) with scores of 94, 93, and 80 for 51 over par 267. Freshman Matthew Potter finished 39th with scores of 95, 91, and 88 for 58 over par 274. Freshman Payton Presnall finished 40th with scores of 102, 98, and 91 for 75 over par 291. Sophomore Fischer Tharp finished 43rd with scores of 104, 111, and 99 for 98 over par 314.
