Roadrunners compete at William Woods

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners finished 12th as a team at the William Woods Men's Invitational at the par 72 Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton March 28-29. The Roadrunners shot 356 as a team in the first round and 336 in the second.

Sophomore Preston Patterson led the charge for SFCC finishing 60th with scores of 91 and 81 for a total of 28 over par 172. Freshman Matthew Potter finished 61st with scores of 92 and 81 for total of 29 over par 173. Freshman Payton Presnall finished tied for 63rd with scores of 90 and 86 for a total of 32 over par 176.  Sophomore Kaden Killingsworth finished in a tie for 63rd scores of 86 and 90 for a total of 32 over par 176.  Sophomore Fischer Tharp finished 65th with scores of 89 and 88 for total of 33 over par 177. Sophomore Brett Hockett finished 68th competing as an individual with scores of 96 and 98 for a total of 50 over par 194.

"We made some good progress," said SFCC Had Golf Coach Wayne Ogle. "There were far fewer big numbers on the golf course and our players are all starting to get their games in order. I'm looking forward to a few weeks off from tournament play and getting into some better weather as we push further into the season."
