Roadrunners compete at NJCAA Division II National Preview

State Fair Community College (SFCC) student-athletes Curtis Wendler, Payton Presnall and Kaden Killingsworth competed individually at the NJCAA golf Division II National Preview on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 18-19. The event consisted of 54 holes of golf on a par 72 course at Twin Hills Golf Course and Country Club in Joplin.

Wendler finished in 56th place with a total score of 35 over par with scores of 83, 81, and 87. Killingsworth finished in a tie for 67th with a total score of 51 over par with scores of 90, 83, and 94. Presnall finished 71st with a total score of 81 over par with scores of 95, 100, and 102.

"It was nice to get a look at the golf course this far in advance," said Roadrunners Golf Head Coach Wayne Ogle. "It was good for our players to see the level of competition that will most likely be at the National Tournament."
