SFCC wraps up fall season

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners took to the course for the third time in nine days at the William Woods Fall Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton on Monday and Tuesday, October 11-12. The Roadrunners finished fifth out of a six team field. SFCC shot a 666 as a team at the 36-hole event. The Roadrunners shot 337 as a team on day one. The team fired a 329 on day two at the event, to improve by eight strokes.

Freshman Curtis Wendler led the team with scores of 83 and 75 for a total of 158 and finished tied for 19th place. Sophomore Kaden Killingsworth finished 29th (tied) with scores of 87 and 79 for a total of 166. Freshman Payton Presnall finished 35th with scores 83 and 87 for a total of 170. Freshman Matthew Potter finished 38th with scores of 84 and 88 to finish with a two-day total of 172. Sophomore Preston Patterson finished 40th with scores 88 and 90 to finish with a total of 178.

"We are now looking to improve over the winter and be in great golf shape for the spring season," said Roadrunners Golf Head Coach Wayne Ogle.
