Roadrunners Basketball adds Diew, Munlyn, Barrow, Thomas

State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners Head Basketball Coach Matt Brown has announced the additions of Thomas Diew, James Munlyn, Clifford Barrow, and Isaiah Thomas to his 2023-2024 recruiting class.

Diew is a 6'8 forward who played his prep school basketball for Head Coach Rob Yanders last season in Springfield at We Are United Prep, against elite competition. Diew played his high school basketball at St. Cloud Apollo High School in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Diew was a three-time all-conference selection in high school and helped his team to a sectional championship. Diew scored 1,000 points during his high school career.

"Thomas (Diew) is a high-level player," said Brown. "He can really shoot the basketball and has a high basketball IQ. He is a wonderful young man. I think he's going to bring a lot to the table. We are excited to have him."

Munlyn is a 7'0 center who is transferring to SFCC from Laramie County Community College. Munlyn averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per game while playing in 23 contests and starting two.

Munlyn played his high school basketball at Buford High School in Georgia, where he helped his team reach the elite eight of the state tournament. He averaged 13 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.

"James (Munlyn) will bring rebounding size to our team, as well as physicality around the basket," said Brown. "He is player who has a big upside."

Barrow is a 6'6" guard/forward who is transferring to SFCC from Oakland Community College in Michigan. Barrow averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game as a freshman. Barrow played his high school basketball at Advanced Technology Academy in Michigan for Head Coach Greg Boler. Barrow averaged 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists per game as a senior.

"Clifford (Barrow) is a high IQ player who can really shoot the basketball," said Brown. "We wanted to mix in older guys with younger guards who we have signed. He will bring great size at the guard position."

Thomas is a 6'8" forward from Central High School in Pageland, South Carolina where he played for Head Coach Desmond Sowell. Thomas played his AAU basketball for the HYB Raptors and Head Coach Hassan Bartly.

"Isaiah is a long and athletic shot blocker," said Brown. "Isaiah can run the floor. I believe he will be a good complement to James, who is more of a traditional post player."

All four student-athletes have signed their National Letters of Intent and will begin their academic and athletic careers at SFCC soon.
