Rodgers leads Lady Roadrunners at Indian Hills Invitational
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team finished 10th as a team at the Indian Hills Invitational at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa, Iowa on Friday, Oct. 11.
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team finished 10th as a team at the Indian Hills Invitational at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa, Iowa on Friday, Oct. 11.
Freshman Malia Rodgers finished 18th for the Lady Roadrunners with a time of 21:19.7 on the 5K course. Freshman Alexis Riddle finished 50th with a time of 24:32.6. Sophomore Emma Rinaldi finished 57th with a time of 26:39.9. Freshman Bethany Slovensky finished 58th in a time of 28:33.5. Sophomore Cheyenne Evans finished 60th with a time of 30:00.9.
"This was the first meet where we got to race a full team," said Lady Roadrunners Assistant Coach Kellin Loch. "It was fantastic to get to see the team score at the end of the meet. Malia Rodgers put up a fantastic time. We've seen a positive switch in the mindset of our women's team. Now, we just have to get their bodies healthy and on the same page so we can start seeing some real improvements."
