Lady Roadrunners finish campaign at National Championships

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team finished 29th at the NJCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships held at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama  Saturday, Nov. 11.

Sophomore Tanner Maggard recorded the best individual finish for SFCC with a time of 21:05.30 on the 5K course to finish 96th. Freshman Shelby West finished 110th with a time of 21:23.50. Sophomore Adamaris Ramirez finished 214th in a time of 24:03.50. Sophomore Savanna Tracy finished 218th with a time of 24:06.80. Freshman Cheyanne Evans placed 228th with a time of 24:42.70. Freshman Emily Ramirez finished 259th with a time of 27:45.30.

"The women followed the men with the last race of the day," said Assistant Coach Cooper Pauley. "Like the men, there was a lot of solid performances with a couple personal records. Our ladies ran a very consistent race from the gun, which helped them pick up two team spots in the last mile of the race to finish 29th in the country."
