Haselhorst leads SFCC at NJCAA Outdoor National Championships
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams closed out their outdoor season at the NJCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships inside Brown Stadium at the University of Louisiana Monroe in West Monroe, Louisiana May 16-18.

Freshman Bailey Haselhorst of Liberty led the Lady Roadrunners with a sixth-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 44.71 meters. The throw was a personal record and scored three team points for the Lady Roadrunners. Freshman Claire Nichols of Charleston finished 14th in the javelin with a throw of 35.30 meters. As a team, the Lady Roadrunners finished 33rd with three points.
Freshman Jasper Degraffenreid of Eldon finished 14th in the shot put with a throw of 14.39 meters to lead the Roadrunners. Freshman Isaiah Waller of Versailles finished 15th in the discus with a throw of 41.57 meters. Sophomore Keyton Laire of Norborne recorded a personal record with a throw of 47.40 meters to finish in 20th place in the javelin. Freshman Justin Horn of Hermitage finished 29th in the 1500m with a time of 4:13.18.
"We had a safe trip to Monroe where we represented our team and our school very well," said Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "Each athlete performed at a level worthy of the event. The obvious highlight was Bailey earning a podium spot and All-American status. Jasper was our men's highlight with arguably his best series of the year in the shot put. We have successfully set the table for our 2024-2025 season."
