Lady Roadrunners open Indoor campaign

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners earned three team points at the Redhawks Invite inside the Southeast Student Recreation Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Freshman Molly Prichard recorded the best finish for the Lady Roadrunners. Prichard finished eighth in the shot put with a throw of 11.70 meters.

Freshman Kira Phipps finished ninth in the high jump with a jump of 1.45 meters.

"It was a great start to our indoor season," said Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "We talked about staying emotionally balanced through the day and that there would be highs and lows. However, I struggled to see any lows. We competed very well. It was the first Indoor meet ever for some of our athletes. I felt Keiyah Cole and Molly Prichard had exceptional days. Keiyah picked up right where she left off last year, while Molly has already surpassed her high school performance in the shot put. We look to continue to improve Friday at UCM."
