The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners beat St. Louis Community College 5-1 in the Region 16 Tournament quarterfinal on Sunday, Oct. 23 in Sedalia. Rodriguez took a team-high eight shots, five of which were on goal. Ramirez took six shots; five on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Nayeli Lopez got the start in goal for SFCC and recorded one save. Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Mosher played the final 10 minutes and recorded one save.

"In the playoffs, it doesn't matter if you beat a team or not during the regular season," said Lady Roadrunners Associate Head Coach Roberto Tucker. "St. Louis came out strong in the game. We had to settle down after we gave up the early goal. I've been very happy with our team, the things we prepare for in practice, are showing up in the game. I was very pleased to see all the fan support that we had today."

Oct. 26 Mineral Area College at Park Hills

SFCC (10-4-2) fell 2-0 in a Region 16 Tournament Semifinal round match to Mineral Area College on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Park Hills.

After neither team scored the first half, Mineral Area scored in the 66th minute and again two minutes later to provide the winning margin.

"It was a very competitive and physical game," said Tucker. "The effort was there from our team. I told the team we had a great season, as we broke all sorts of records, including most wins in a season, along with many other team and individual records. I am very proud of our team."
