The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners traveled to Centralia, Illinois, on Wednesday, Aug. 31, to take on Kaskaskia College. SFCC (0-3-1) fell by a score of 2-1.
The Lady Roadrunners got on the scoreboard first with a goal from freshman midfielder Kristen Farrell off a pass from freshman defender Morgan Coffman in the first half.
Kaskaskia responded with a pair of second half goals to secure the victory. The first goal came in the 54th minute followed by the game-winning goal in the 70th minute.
The Lady Roadrunners will open the home portion of their regular season schedule against Central Methodist University JV at 5 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Sports Complex west of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
