Lady Roadrunners Basketball Recap Feb.20

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners opened Region 16 and Missouri Community College Athletic Conference play with an 80-63 loss to the Mineral Area College Lady Cardinals on Saturday, Feb. 20 inside the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.

The game featured nine lead changes and two ties. The Lady Cardinals outscored the Lady Roadrunners 25-10 in the second quarter to take control of the game.

SFCC (0-2, 0-1 in Region 16, 0-1 in the MCCAC) had three players score in doubles digits. Freshman guard/forward Donnisia Harrison of Chicago, Illinois led the team with 19 points and tied the team lead with five rebounds. Freshman guard/forward Ty'Raven Linwood of Mount Vernon, Texas and freshman guard/forward Amaya Coakley of Killeen, Texas scored 12 points each. Coakley led the team with two steals. Freshman forward Ja'Kyah Amous of Chicago and freshman guard/forward Tieriney Echols of Memphis, Tennessee had five rebounds each.
