State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners Basketball Head Coach Kevin Bucher has put the finishing touches on his 2021 team with the additions of Briasia Garza, Sia Deriona Oliver, and Zoe Riojas.
Garza is a sophomore guard transferring to SFCC from Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas. Garza averaged two points and 1.2 rebounds per game her freshman season.
"We needed a point guard," said Bucher. "Briasia has the experience that we needed and is the type of player we want at that position."
Oliver is a freshman forward from Ocala, Florida, who will help the Lady Roadrunners down low.
"Oliver gives us a little more height, which we needed," said Bucher.
Riojas is a freshman forward from Houston, Texas, whose shooting skills got Bucher's attention.
"Zoe can shoot the ball well and brings us more size," said Bucher. "She is coming off of an injury and just starting to run, so there's potential and opportunity."
