Elston and White Earn All-Region Honors

State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners sophomore guard Jazzmyn Elston of Rossville, Georgia and freshman guard Nokoia White of Ennis, Texas have earned postseason recognition from the Region 16 coaches. Elston was named to the Women's Division I Basketball All-Region 16 First-Team, while White was named to the All-Region Second-Team.

Elston is a two-time All-Region selection earning Second-Team honors as a freshman. She led her team in scoring at 15.9 points per game while playing in 24 games and starting in 21. Elston scored a season-high 29 points against Dodge City Community College. She knocked down a team-high 83.1% of her free-throw attempts (tied for 15th in the country). She registered 1.2 steals per contest (second on her team).

"Jazzmyn averaged about 14 points per game for her career at SFCC," said Lady Roadrunners Basketball Head Coach Kevin Bucher. "She improved her scoring as a sophomore. She is a good three-point shooter. She has had a great career here."

White played and started in 20 games as a freshman. She finished third on the team in scoring with 10.3 points per game. She pulled down 5.5 rebounds from a guard spot, which placed her third on her team in rebounds per game. White dished out 1.8 assists per contest, which also placed her third on her team. She scored a career-high 19 points in a game against Jefferson College.

"Nokoia was a highly rated recruit coming out of high school," said Bucher. "She really improved in the second half of the season and led our team throughout the last part of Region play. I'm very excited for both of them to be recognized by the coaches in the Region."
