Title: Assistant Coach

Madison Love is in her second season as an assistant softball coach at State Fair Community College. Love helped SFCC to a 15-31 record during the 2023 season. The program also earned its fourth consecutive NJCAA Team Academic Award during the 2023 season.

Love serves as the pitching coach, as well as working with the hitters. Love was a standout pitcher and position player at SFCC during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. As a sophomore, Love helped SFCC to a 26-24 record, the best record in the history of the program.

Love earned second team all-region and first team all-conference as a freshman in 2018. Love earned first team all-region and first team all-conference honors as a sophomore. Love also earned Region 16 All-Tournament Team honors. Love was also named National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I Second Team All-American. As a sophomore, Love finished second in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings with 10.46 and fifth in the nation in strikeouts with 257.

Love transferred to Central Methodist University in Fayette where she earned NFCA NAIA All-Region Second Team honors along with Heart of America Conference All-Conference First Team honors. She also earned Heart of America Conference Second Team All-Conference honors.

In 2021 Love totaled 22 wins with a 1.86 ERA in the circle.

Love also excelled in the classroom, earning Academic All-American scholar athlete honors. She also earned Dean’s List recognition five semesters.

Love also brings experience working in the athletic department at Central Methodist as a graduate assistant, assisting with weight room maintenance and office work as well as other duties. She also helped with recruiting camps, specializing in pitching and hitting instruction. She also helped with equipment organization, uniforms, locker room, and field preparation, as well as pitching stats as a graduate assistant during the 2021-2022 year. Love also served on the game day staff at Central Methodist, where she helped operate athletic events. She also set up cameras and music for games, as well as helping with broadcasting stats during the 2020-2021 year.

Love has an Associate of Arts degree from SFCC In Fine Arts. She also has a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Central Methodist and is working toward a master of education in Athletic Administration, also from Central Methodist.
