Lady Roadrunners Softball announces 11 signees

 The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners are preparing to begin their 2023 season later this month. New Head Coach Michele Rupard recently announced a portion of her recruiting class for the 2023-2024 season.

"We told all the student-athletes during the recruiting process that we wanted players who were willing to put in extra work," said Rupard. "This is the first class that is representing where I'm trying to take the program. They all know the direction that we want to go in and have great support systems at home. I look forward to adding these student-athletes and their families to our Roadrunner family."

Emily Anderson is an outfielder from Warrensburg High School.

"Emily is extremely hard-working," said Rupard. "She will add depth and athleticism to our outfield."

Emily Burke is an infielder from Cole Camp High School.

"Emily knows the game better than most 18 or 19-year-olds," said Rupard. "She can play pretty much anywhere and possesses a great glove."

Daylee Meese is a pitcher and first baseman from Logan-Rogersville High School.

"Daylee is a big and strong kid who is tough," said Rupard. "She will be good for us on the mound."

Harley Daniels is a pitcher and first baseman from Mount Vernon High School.

"Harley is another big strong kid who can throw the ball well," said Rupard. "She and Daylee are both willing to learn and will be fun to coach."

Aireanna Hoeppner is a third baseman and pitcher from Richmond High School.

"She is very hungry to make plays on the field," said Rupard. Aireanna will find some time at third base and will pitch a little bit for us as well."

Maliah Kenney is an infielder/utility player from Humansville High School.

"Maliah is a super athletic kid," said Rupard. "She works hard for everything and does whatever she can to get the job done."

Lia Hill is a catcher/utility infielder from Lee's Summit High School.

"Lia will be a big arm for us behind the plate," said Rupard. "She is a catcher who can also play in the infield, but we look for her to be more of a force behind the plate for us."

Kiara Sodini is an outfielder/first baseman/pitcher from Lee's Summit North High School.

"Kiara is left-handed and will add a lot of versatility for us on the field," said Rupard. "She also has a great presence at the plate."

Danika Sickle is a utility infielder from Grain Valley High School.

"Danika is a hard-nosed kid who will do anything that you ask her to do," Rupard. "She also works very hard."

Jordan Crooks is a shortstop/outfielder from Leeton High School.

"Jordan is very fast," said Rupard. "She is a big, tall, strong kid," said Rupard. "She will find a way to be on the field and cover a lot of ground."

Myla Inman is third baseman from Washington High School.

"Myla is a tough player, who brings a lot of energy on the field and in the dugout," said Rupard.

All of these student-athletes have signed their National Letters of Intent and will begin their academic and athletic career at SFCC in the fall.
