The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners cross country team continued their season with a ninth-place team finish at the Indian Hills Invitational at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa, Iowa on Friday, Oct. 11.

Freshman Duncan Wilkinson finished 40th in the time of 29:39.7. Sophomore Josh Schaffart finished 46th with a time of 30:07.4. Sophomore Mario Nunez finished 56th with a time of 34:08.9.
"A lot of our runners stepped to the line on Friday, rather excited due to the success that was seen at this meet last year," said Roadrunners Assistant Coach Kellin Loch. "While we didn't quite replicate the success of last year, we did walk away with most of the team achieving season bests. As a group, we came out in the first mile a little too strong and it came back to bite us at the end of the race. I think we've learned our lesson and are ready to put in some good training as we start to look forward to our upcoming postseason races."
