The State Fair Community College track and field teams earned six top-eight finishes at the Outdoor Mule Relays hosted by the University of Central Missouri on Friday, April 11, at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field. SFCC competed against a strong field of collegiate athletes.

Freshman Tucker Singer of Tina took fifth in the men's shot put with a throw of 16.86 meters. Sophomore Isaiah Waller of Versailles also placed fifth in the men's discus with a mark of 51.84 meters.
Sophomore Peyton Ligon of Ozark finished sixth in the men's high jump with a leap of 1.96 meters. Freshman Legend Freelon of Kansas City followed in seventh at 1.91 meters.
On the women's side, freshman Laiysha Freeman of Kansas City had the Lady Roadrunners' best finish, placing seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.41 meters.
"It was a competitive day at UCM," head coach Brad Hagedorn said. "Fortunately, our athletes are used to this kind of environment. For the most part, we are staying consistent from week to week. Zeshaun Ballance-Gray is starting to get hot in the triple jump, so we are expecting a big performance from him soon. We are looking forward to our next meet next week at Culver-Stockton. This meet will be somewhat small, and we should be very competitive across the board."
